I.S.U.
ISU Evaluation Here!http://sparklearning.org/tests/isu_assess_1.htm

The purpose of an Independent Study Unit is to explore and to present a topic of interest.

The ISU seems to be the right of passage for many students in the ELC or specialized programs.  I am aware of students from all areas of the education spectrum who have not only completed their ISU successfully, but found the experience an excellent way of sharing their expertise, skill, insight and creativity.  The Independent Study Unit (ISU)  is intended to give you practice and experience in a variety of skills needed for both elementary, post secondary education and subsequent work.

Why?  It requires you to hone not only your academic but organizational skills to develop a product worthy of your excellence.

Students who complete an ISU find the process very beneficial.  M. Sarkar
